I had a really great photo session with a family who lives on the Eastside. It was a challenge to find a good park on the Eastside to take pictures in that had some colorful scenery, and which was also easily accessible. So we went to the old McAuliffe Park in Kirkland, which has a rich history. It was purchased by the city only in 2001, and before that it was owned by two families and had remained one of the oldest homesteads in the area. There's even an old barn and a windmill. You can read more here about the park.
There was a colorful community pea patch which gave us a beautiful backdrop to work with. The kids were really playful and relaxed with me in front of the camera. The photos seem to capture them as they really are. Enjoy.
